Training and not racing

Decided to skip the Torrance fiasco. A bunch of overweight track guys that can sprint like nothing on earth ;-)

That will make them mad, huh… Well, nothing against these guys. There are people too. That course though… it really helps the track guys. Fast, short course.. ideal sprinting conditions.

Anyways, I opted for the training. Saturday I did Swamis and it was pretty hard. Gotta keep in mind here that very hard Swamis rides are when 1 or 2 fast guys show up. That is just not enough to get me dropped and end the misery. When there are 10 really fast guys, its over for me and then I just noodle all the way to the church. Saturday was one of those days that it hurt and it hurt for 20 minutes straight. And then it did again for 20 minutes and then once more. Good riding though. Ended up with 96 miles, which was nice.

Sunday I went east and did my first climbing training ride. It sucked… it was really hard. I have a 11-23 on my wheel and I was thinking of how nice a 25 might’ve been. We had a girl in our group and she put me in the hurt lock. She dropped me a couple of times. She was so freaking strong…. When I was driving home my teammate told me she rode for Tibco. It made things better, but still.

Overall great suffering though. Trying to get ready for State RR. Next stupid RR I am doing is San Luis Rey and that should really hurt.

BTW, wheelsuckers might start a team. Tyler is on it!!!!!! wooohooooooo
