Tour de Murrieta

Saturday Race:
Not a lot of guys, and not a lot of fast guys. 50 or so, I knew at least half of them, so no surpirses there. In fact, the same dudes that sit in weekend in, weekend out decided to show up.

Race goes well and I feel better and better throughout. To make this short and sweet, here are the highlights:
1 – Ranchos guy: cut inside turn 2 (I counted 5 times). I have never seen someone do a fat man float on a flat course. I think his name is Blaine Mass. Gotta drop that shit man.

2 – Bikereg guy: A waste of space as my teammate would say. Useless. Everytime someone would go and try to get away he would jump right in, but when it was time to pull….NOTHING. I have seen this guy before, he might’ve been at VOS….he just took someones’ spot there too.

3 – Major Motion juniors: the idiot train continues to ride. Danny Fineran took me out and 4 other guys. half of the field has marked him. He pulled the stupidest (sp?) move of the day – decided to sprint on the inside of turn 4 , with one lap to go. I was leading it out and what I thought was a safe spot he managed to ruin it. Douche.

Overall good race. I was glad I did not end up in the hospital. I now hope their parents actually take part of their kids life and teach them that it is bad to be an idiot in a dangerous sport.

Sunday race:
Hot, hot, hot. Plus feeders cannot feed well. Narrow course, hard to get up the road. Just a long crit in the sun. Guess what, 4 turns to go, Mr. Fineran pulls the same shit again. Dives into what I thought was a protected corner. I wasn’t going 33mph this time though, so easy to fix, plus we were fighting for 60th position, no need to go crazy. Today he managed to finish the race and not blow up his wad.

Overall bad race for the team. Water issues, mechanical issues and leg issues.

Oh well. Till San Dimas, where I will be psychologically ready to get murdered.
