this is incredible

Posted on August 16, 2009

Usain Bolt just clocked a 9.58 100m to smash the old record.

To put this in perspective 9.58 would probably equal:

- breaking 5:30 in a 2k erg test
- Averaging 35mph in a flat 20k TT
- Do what Michael Phelps did in the Olympics
- Sell more Ipods than apple
- crash more than juniors at ANY race

Anyways, you get the point. Unfreaking real..

I remember in college I ran just a few tenths under 11 seconds and that was pretty good for me. Crap, 9.58 is really really fast. I just hope its clean, if you know what i mean.

That dude has long legs but he can generate the kind of leg speed the short legged guys do, it is Amazing watching that guy.

thanks. I started a break w/ 20min to go and 4 of us stayed away… It was hot, but not that bad by Ontario standards… full field — 12 SC Velo guys… Saw you had a good one there too a few weeks back… Congrats.
