The new project – CyclingNutz.com

Posted on June 14, 2008

The couple of times I have mentioned a project that I had been working on might have peeked someone’s interest.

Well, we have decided to give it the green light and release the URL. It is user driven content, so in order the site to grow, you will have to contribute. This is a Web 2.0 concept, but directed to cyclists. Read up on how it will work on the “about us” menu, there are some things explained over there.

We (John and I) are welcoming everyone to join and start making it happen. We believe the project has some legs and that it might become something interesting. We really believe it will.

Feedback has been pretty positive and you are more than welcome to give us some on the site. Also, if you want to contribute please check out the FAQ pages to get in touch with us or PM “jdh” or “jan”. State your case and we will review.

We will be putting a consolidated calendar, have riders write articles, race reports, have coaches give out tips, have a complete list of clubs and rides associated with them and much, much more.

BTW, this is a BETA release, so features are being added as I type this. Be patient, lots of things to come.

Is this going to be competition for socalcycling?

    I don’t mind, just wondering.

To be honest Nathan, we wanted to create a hub to connect people.

The intent is to eliminate all the conflict and consolidate the information. ANY information that is available. Do I think it will compete with Socalcycling… in some aspects yes and some no. It will have different kinds of information.

I say it looks more like an expansion from this place, just open to everyone

A place for me to speak my mind and hear what people have to say. Sometimes too harsh, sometimes brutaly honest
