San Pedro Grand Prix

Overall great course. Shitty pavement into turn 3 and 4, but that helped keep things a little under control. I am guessing if the pavement were super, people would be going around that downhill corner at greater speeds, so this time, shitty pavement was definately worth, safety wise.
The race started really fast and there seemed to be much more uphill then downhill sections, which is impossible, but it felt that way. Long shot to the finish line 2% grade into the head wind caused some havoc in the pack and guys got shelled out. The climbs were no real climbs, but just constant uphills which very much mimic Manhattan’s course.
I tried to get away once or twice, Damien tried another two times and Shane tried as many, so we tried
Little groups would go up the road but would soon get caught, wind was too strong. This was a real race, so people that were just sitting in got creamed and that is really good. The group was small enough to enable the wheelsuckers to get shelled.
With 2 to go I put an effort in in order to bring a duo back, I managed to close the gap a bit, but they were gone.
Damien finished 4th and I did not make the board. GREAT VENUE! Hope it sticks!
BTW, my grammar for this one sucked…typing really quick….sorry
