San Fernando crit

Just saw the poster for the San Fernando crit. I am glad they have a CAT-3 and a 1/2/3 race.
I am gonna go ahead and say that I wish there were more races that offered that mix, but I know the CAT 1/2 guys just cringe when they see that 3 at the end. It is honestly a great workout for the slower 3′s and if no dumb ass gets in the way of any important move, things should stay OK.
Now, on the other hand, as soon as I upgrade i will probably change my mind about this 
But until then I will go to the races that offer these options. Matter of fact, I might skip Glendale all together. Racing twice at San Fernando will be enough for the weekend and i will save on gas.

I thought that the 1′s and 2′s dont like the 3′s because they get beat tt often and it makes them look bad. Then they go home and their wives and girlfriends make fun of them for getting wacked by a lowly cat 3. ha!!!
IMHO what happens is that there is always a group of guys that lap the field. CAT 1 and 2′s try to make it happen (bring it back, join, chase, etc) and end up too tired to contest the sprint.
I can only remember only 1 race where a CAT 3 won a 1/2/3 race and that was somewhere up north. Jared Barrelieux (sp?) and look where he is now, so no shame in loosing to that guy.
