Reality has set in

Tonight was supposed to be the SDBC “race” at fiesta but because the city is so worried about something happening to us they did not give the permit.
Oh well… people still showed up and off we went.
My plan was to sit in, warm-up and do some interval work on the TT bike.
Everything went fine until SOMEBODY put the hammer down, split the entire field and that was that. I went so far over redline trying to hang on and closing gaps that I never quite recovered… and then that hit me like a ton of bricks.. I have a TTT in september and I honestly have no idea how I am going to finish that race. I am in serious trouble as my pathetic form cannot even hold onto a fiesta island world championships.
I know this is published and teammates sometimes read this. Fear not, I have a couple of weeks until time to go. But honestly today I felt sick to my stomach and almost passed out. Thoughts in the mind went from I am going to kick ass today to what the fuck is going on with me.
Oh well, tomorrow is TT time again and all weekend for sure.

Since it was supposed to be the SDBC Fiesta race Party version. After about 1.5 laps the shit hit the fan!! A group of about 12 is starting to break free and then a few guys in the front just about sit up?!?! What the F!! I do not get warmed up that quick so I was just hangin on.
No excuses, it was tougher than usual. I finished in the front of the second group…….
I am tired right now!! I think I will sleep all day tomorrow.
