CAT-3 race filled up nicely. Everyone was asking everyone why they did not go to West LA circuit race. weeeeeellll…..weight plays a big role in that race….all the fat kids were at ontario.

Tried getting away a couple of times, but after yestrday’s TT my legs were mush. Too hard to work that hard and have douches sit in. Especially a Helens guy. Other guys actually yelled at him and he replied “watch me”, well, he continued sucking wheel…oh well. No worries.

I stayed away at some point…2.5 laps and then I got back in for the final 5. Alejandro, who was sitting in all day attacked and stayed away for like 3-4 laps? Not sure, but hey, smart move! With 1/2 lap to go I drilled it on the backside, got around corner 3 with 40 meters of a gap, went around corner two with about 60 meter gap and started my sprint, this was for second. I held of the charge up until 30 meters form the line. The wind KILLED me. My legs were DONE. Efforts of the day before and earlier attempts to get away fried them.

So I ended up 14th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF (waive to friends, thats what it means). Justin got 7th and was 5 inches from 5th…oh well….that woudl have given him an extra 4 dollars…LOL

pro 1/2/3 race: I was in it just to help whatever might materialize. I had one or two very short matches to help out. Everyone except for Karl, Brandon and Matt showed up. They were in West LA. Well, the race started somewhat slow and then the pace got higher. A group of 20 or so guys went up the road and we had Peter, Chris, Gil and Dan. Just, Nate and I went straight to the front and started to set a very slow pace, more like a blocking pace.

Even with our efforts of keeping the group at speeds below 22, the 20 guys up the road were not getting far…AMAZING! Well, in 1 lap they were back, except for Dan and Gil and some other guys. Dan lapped the filed with another rider and Gil was in another group with 2 other guys. Gill never caught the group and he was in no mans land….

As soon as the two guys got back in the pack SDBC and us went to the front and set pace. We were not working and I think it took SDBC a while to figure out why. We had 3rd place on the road ahead of us and it was nice to just sit in. The pace started pretty fast and then it slowed down. Went from 30mph to 22mph. One by one the SDBC guys were getting burned up.

I tried sprinting, but had NOTHING. Dan took the win and Gil got 3rd. Gill suffered a lot. Poor guy, had to hold of a whole charging team with one other guy (which had some awesome shades!)

Good weekend, lots of riding. My biggest week so far….15 hours and 230 miles….I KNOW…..
