That is just not another corner that you crash in, you can hurt yourself pretty bad too. I would also go ahead and advise against Manhattan Beach. Unless you think you can TT in front of the pack for however long your race is, go ahead and skip it... save yourself the grief of re-growing skin and buying new shit for your bike I am glad that I did not go then.
