Long lost post
Posted on November 1, 2009
I have been pretty busy with work and now with the training ramping up I have little to no time to write. So here I am doing 4 things at a time… watching the chargers, writing some stuff for work, surfing the web and eating some candy.
This weekend was a pretty good one. Ok, lets back track. I have started to ride Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s with the gang. Tuesday is a simple Cabrillo loop and Wednesday is a quick-before-work 5000ft ride through Highland Valley. I got back into the office with a pink face that did not fade until noon. It was really cold and I suffered like a dog, it was horrible, demoralizing and it sucked to have tits that day… I mean man boobs… I hate my man bobs.
Anyways, after that mid week disaster I was convinced that some long riding would cure me from that feeling and maybe set me up for a better ride this week. I really hope it goes better.
Saturday I ended up rolling though Nytro and the swamis ride never caught me. I did the distance but alone… It might be better for now anyways. Today I met up with the Jamba Juice guys and did a coastal ride.
On the way back we picked up Jim. Jim has a cyclocross bike setup with a little trailer where he had a boombox playing his favorite tunes. What jim also has on his bike is an electric motor that puts out 500w. That thing makes him go so fast, its insane. Headwind, slight uphill and he is clocking 33mph… sitting on him for the last 30 miles really hurt but it got me home sooner.
So, lets see how this coming week goes. The weight is finally coming down and I am down to 189lbs. Amazing what some intensity does… only 16lbs to go for my season goal
