LBL – Heat wave and SLR

Did anyone watch Liege-Bastogne-Liege? What a brutal race with all these “little” climbs.

Felt bad for the Schleck brothers, Valverde still managed to win the race by using some not-so-popular race tactics, but hey it worked. I think that Frank let Rebellin finish ahead of him, at least he had the courtesy to acknowledge the fact that Rebellin pretty much delivered these guys to the line.

This weekend I made sure to put in some hours in order to prepare for San Luis Rey, which in turn will be prep for State RR champ. The climb is so deceptive, easy going up slow, but once speed is factored into it it gets soooo hard.

I rode out there from La Costa Avenue and it was soo freaking hot and dry. I hope this is the case next week, let these little guys just dry out in the sun like little raisins ;-)

BTW, I am hoping to stay with the LARGER group for 3 laps and then lights out. That will be my goal. Of course it will depend on how Barrio Logan goes.

A place for me to speak my mind and hear what people have to say. Sometimes too harsh, sometimes brutaly honest
