I have reached 00 (read double “o”) status….

and no, that is not my license to kill, but I have finally realized that I might be overtrained….the other “o” is for overweight.

I guess this is a feat that only I can manage to reach. Be fat and overtrained. I really felt it this weekend. Skipped La Mirada for the flat Dash for Cash crit. There is just something about money that keeps people motivated and it does not have to be a lot of money either…$10 will do it :-)

I am pretty sure MANY people were thinking of getting rich if they only managed to come accross the line in first every lap…well, if you do the math, 50 minutes, 1:50 minute laps = 27 laps…$270 if you manage to do it on every lap. I figured we would be better off with a win.

And so we tried. No breaks will EVER get away, although SDBC got guys in the front most of the race, by themselves…I think it was Chad….CHAD…and Scott. It must’ve been brutal. My legs were not there. I put in some efforts to bring some larger breaks that would threaten the win, but very small cooperation from the pack, at least constant cooperation, crap, the guys that were pulling were probably doing the same thing I was…pull, sit in for a bit and then go again.

I like the dash for cash, keeps things a bit faster and believe it or not safer! The format is great, wish there were more of those. Thanks Chris! I have a cool picture of Chris, its a side shot of him in his gear…he was yelling something while the picture was taken so I am not sure if he will approve it. I’ll go through him first before posting it :-)

This week is rest week or else I will be tailgunning at San Marcos and you can’t really hide there.

Yeah you hit the nail on the head about the “constant cooperation.” It seems in the 3′s that tactically, nobody’s got balls here in the last two months. There were some gutsy moves in April and May but now it is July and there’s nothing.

A place for me to speak my mind and hear what people have to say. Sometimes too harsh, sometimes brutaly honest
