Yeah, bike commuting rules. It's the only time I go slow enough to get caught by any hotties (yeah, right).

But then, they go and hold a stupid golf tournament and turn the downhill, high-speed bike lane into a cyclocross course.

Can't wait to be past the US Open. I just hope the City realizes some serious revenue from idiots parking along TP....a few towed rental cars would be nice to see.

I have been thinking about trading in my Gas Guzzling SUV for a small Hybrid. After much deliberation I decided to try something else....bike commuting.

Sunday night I loaded my SUV up with 4 days worth of work clothes and a box of baby wipes. Drove to work Monday and rode to and from work every day this week. Turned my gas guzzling wagon into a portable wardrobe. Got my junk miles (aka base training) out of the way AND saved 7 gallons of gas.

Getting on my bike at 6:30 am was tough but after about 20 minutes it felt great. I highly recommend it.

Net effect....more riding, less polution, more money, happy wife. I have to wonder...if it's that good, why don't I do it more often?
