The hardest crit of the year….so many freaking turns and then we had Mr. Hill in our race just to speed things up a bit.
I looked down on my computer and the time was 16:35 into the race and my HR read 185….I knew that if I had to go 45 minutes more at that pace I would end up in a coma. Redlining is 178 for me and that I can do for 1 hour, but not 185.
Crap that race was so hard and had so many crashes. BUT, but, it was a VERY good one. Fitness definately played a major role and that is what matters when racing. Unfortunately I was not prepared for this one. Rolled in at 28th, did not make the board…LOL.
Ecellent event and will recommend to others.
See you guys next year…..maybe
