CBR/Lost wallet

First event of the season for me.
The rain and the amount of water in the corners was insane. It felt like the water would actually take you down. I am so proud of my group for not having a single crash in the race. At times it rained so hard it actually hurt. Pace was pretty quick…24.5mph, which is not that fast, but for THAT much rain, its pretty good.
Earlier in the day I did a race and it was sunny and nice. Was in a break with four other guys. At one point one of the guys just bounced of of me and crashed pretty bad. It was just the two of us, which was too bad, totally avoidable.
Also, I lost my efen wallet…..more precisely I lost $30, $85 in gift certificate, driver’s license, bank card, credit card, costco card, albertsons card, safeway card, US Work permit (kind of a big deal), USCF license, CBR license and maybe a handfull of important contacts…my guess is that if it fell on the floor it should be floating somewhere in the LA river…motherf*****….. Now the good part. My girlfriend gets a call from a guy saying that he found a wallet…sure enough it is mine. Hopefully everything is still in there (i doubt it), but I am at least praying that the more important documents got stuck inside, but then with the amount of water that flowed down the street I am not sure.
I asked the guy to use the money to fedex me the wallet. Hopefully I will see it back on tuesday. Now I gotta sit here for two days worrying about what went down the drain and what was saved…Oh well.
