Wish there was a way to keep score of this baby. Any ideas?

Granted that I efed up on the late registration, thus i will have to pay late fees (but then again, the cut off was 7 or 8 days before the race, which is also ridiculous cause even some stage races accept re a couple of days before it closes) and I want to do the 1/2/3, Cat 3 and the 30+, so my total would have been $61. Now add gas to that and we are close to hitting $100 for 1 day of racing. Taking into consideration that I will win no prize money so I will take the full hit, I am in for $100/day/racing.

I gotta tell you, that is going to be really hard to swallow. I just got done with my taxes (and maybe this is why i am so pissed off) and seeing how high those entry fees are after having to write uncle sam a check for some big bucks, I am having an even harder time to justify my racing.

Historically the first Ontario are really big races and I understand that they want to cover costs and make money, etc, etc, because that is what I am trying to do, but dang… If I decide to hit all Ontario I will be out close to $600 jut for that series. Add stage races, CBRs, local races and I will be joining Octomom in her misery.

Actually I wish I had 8 kids. It works out to having to pay NO TAXES at all. I know, you have 8 people to take care of, but still, it might be worth it.

It doesn’t really matter for his team cause they are gone, but I wonder if we will see him around. I am not really counting on seeing him at the first ontario next year, but who knows….

I feel his pain though… It’s tough to make a penny cycling and if that is all you can do than you have to do what you have to do…

Tomorrow is the big day.. mean, the day that I get dropped REALLY hard from Swamis. It would be interesting to see if Lance shows up. Chris is here, so maybe they can go for a quick coffee ride and we can tag along.

Last week was slow and I think I might be prepared for the pain that is to come and the embarrassment it is to show up at the church 5 minutes after everyone else… oh well… i picked the only sport in which I am overweight… tough luck

At the harbor, there was this “little” yacht. The thing really caught my eye. At first I thought it was a small cruise ship but then somebody put up a PRIVATE sign up and I was like damn!!!!! My girlfriend said that it must have been Jay Z’ yacht, but I knew that not even he could afford this thing.

I google it and sure enough:

and the list goes on and on… It was pretty impressive.

Luckily I feel much better, but I am still walking like I have something in my butt.

Looking forward to some good’ol strong American pills to cure this thing for once and for all.

I need to go to bed right now and I did not write earlier cause the power was out ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9am to 10pm….. unreal.

I missed a complete day of work because of this shit….

Tomorrow and monday though, I will update some stuff

- Omnium this weekend. Looking forward to racing the bike again. 8 days of the bike and yesterday I had a little opener on the TT bike, with the Team in Training group. I think I have been unofficially kicked of that group since I felt like they were trying to keep me out of the pack. I got the message and I will be more respectful of their workout.

- I visited the office of Elite Racing. Pretty cool stuff that they do there. Taking a look at their warehouse you can get a pretty good idea of what kind of operation they are running over there. The amount of merchandise (t-shirts ONLY) is just overwhelming. Piles and more piles of branded and unbranded shirts.

- Crew Classic photos: once they are up I will post them. Should have some pretty cool and funny ones.

- New Project: I have been lagging on this one and I feel bad. Lots of “paying” work on my schedule. I have finally been able to devote time into it and I hope it will work out great. The last 2 weeks have been great and I have made a lot of progress on the concept. FYI, it is cycling related.

- Input: if anybody has anything to say, please do so. Even if you want to send me to hell, thats cool.

- One last thing. I will post a poll about having a scooter on Fiesta Island. I want to see what my 30 readers have to say about that.

The hosting company is lagging. I will have to deal with them tomorrow.

Hopefully its a minor issue.

REASON: I want to watch the insane PRO field trash each other. But I would feel bad to just go hit the punch card at SDSR.

Maybe one day when I am fit and ready for it I can actually appreciate the suffering that that race offers to its riders.

One more thing, yesterday I finally pinned down why I do not like that race. I have had some really bad experiences, they somewhat had nothing to do with the race itself, but I had them around the venue.

1 – My first year I was in the road race and on the climb this douche bag did a madison-like sling shot pull of of my jersey… on the climb! If that was not bad enough, I was in the process of actually healing from my broken ribs and this mother efer pretty much punched me in the sore spot. I was irate. I wanted to kill this guy…. it was the same guy that got caught holding on to the van. I saw him at VOS the next year. He had been dropped from his field and decided to ride with us. I told him to get off or I would pull him off…. little bitch

2 – I had a complete meltdown while driving back home. I got lost and somehow ended up in major rush hour traffic. Took me 7 hours to get back home. I honestly had never experienced anything like that before. I was borderline suicidal. Of course I blamed the race and vowed to never EVER drive to San Dimas again.

One is a valid point, the other not so much, but they scared me.
