Blood tests are back in – not good

Just got the call from the doc and I need to get back in.
It was funny cause by his tone I could tell something was wrong. I am not going to go into details because if it is nothing it can be solved by some rest but if its not that, then I am screwed…. royally screwed.
My red blood count is at 43. I told him I needed some EPO and he say NO. I wonder why?
In any case, need to go to a blood specialist now, do some more tests and make sure I am not missing an IMPORTANT part of my blood.
I hope I get to fix this cause I have this feeling that something is wrong. Just not feeling right right now.

43 is an ok Hematocrit. How high would you want to go?

60!!!!!! I want 60 LOL… I want to be like Riis. Maybe even 65. JH, mister 65%… that sounds good. That would be some thick blood though.
crap, more blood drawn… 3 tubes… Now I am getting paranoid.
43 is normal reading. It may be the “differential” they are concerned about. Ask for a copy of the labs. Labs are a very very small factor in many other diagnostic tools. They can tell only so much, it would be your “other symtoms” in combination with the results. Good Luck.
the “other symtoms” put me in equal grounds with recent cancer patients (the ones that went through chemo) …. so I am hoping they made a mistake
