Best to Adrienne

I got word that Adrienne – SDBC rider, wife of Herb (Old man Soledad) got hit by a car and is in pretty bad shape.
What amazes me is that she was riding on a road or spot where I would not imagine something like that can happen. The car was supposedly getting on Torrey Pines road and if it started form a stand still, it had about 10 or 12 ft to accelerate before hitting a cyclist… Wonder if the car did a california stop and just rolled through the sign.
I actually rode past that intersection 30 minutes later and you would have never thought that that happened.
Wish her a fast and complete recovery. Don’t know her, but I know the husband.
Horrible thing to happen.

I just visited her for about an hour and a half. She is in good spirits and should be going home tomorrow. the car made a blind left turn as there was a truck parked on the side of the road and they could not see someone (Adrienne) coming by.
She really could not remember much considering. All her parts are working still! It is now recovery time…….
