111 + 107 + 130 + 70 = -0.5lbs

Posted on November 25, 2007

On Wednesday I decided that I was going to kick start my big mileage and so the mark was set. 400 miles in 4 days, that was the goal.

I finished the last ride today and I feel pretty good. As Tony Morrow once wrote in his blog, I was Jan Ulrich and everyone else Lance Armstrong. Even with 400 miles in my legs I was able to protect attacks to my manhood…LOL. I felt that everyone was out to get me.

In any case, the riding is over for now. After doing the math and looking at all numbers and factoring in the amount of food that I had after riding I got on the scale and surprise, surprise, I lost weight!!!!!! a FULL HALF pound…..Unreal how much work to get the engine to burn off the xtra blubber…418 miles, 25000ft and 24 hours of riding = -0.5lb….i give up.

If you can work it into your schedule, come on ‘The Wednesday Ride’. Leaves Carlsbad Starbucks at 8:15am. Fast but flat, would be solid day for you if you rode from home. Up through Camp Pendleton and San Onofre campground.

I did that ride once and I cannot remember how long the ride is. Its a 32 mile trip to Carlsbad, so right there I will have 64 round trip.
Also, what time does it get back to the Starbucks?

    ~45 miles roundtrip from Starbucks.
